Trellis Notifications
Data Gaps
You will receive a notification providing a summary of existing data gaps within your Trellis data. These data gaps are broken down into three categories:
Start gaps - These indicate that there are missing data at the start of the coverage timeline for that meter, you may need to set the meter start date or find the missing data between the meter start date and the continuance of data.
Middle gaps - These indicate that there are missing data between two complete periods. These data need to be sourced from your supplier and emailed to your Trellis data inbox.
End gaps - These indicate potential forwarding issues, please check that data forwarding arrangements are still working.
Consecutively Estimated Bills
Consecutive estimates can indicate problems with either your retailer or the network's ability to read a meter (usually a locked door, gate or incorrect location), this can cause significant exceptions and bill shock when the meter is eventually read.
In rare circumstances this can indicate the presence 'ghost meters' (historically decommissioned meters) that the retailer cannot locate and may still be estimating and charging for.
Forwarding Issues
These notifications indicate that there are potential forwarding issues with a particular meter if the bill has not arrived within the Trellis system within 12 days of the estimated issue date.
These suspected forwarding issues are labelled as 'end gaps', because they are at the end of the coverage timeline.
New Facilities or Meters
These notifications indicate that a new meter or facility has been loaded into the system, these meters will need to be allocated to an appropriate facility or facility group.
Charges for No Consumption
These notifications indicate that you have received a bill with no consumption associated with it. This means that you may be receiving metering and supply charges for a meter that is no longer consuming any resource, which could also indicate the presence of a decommissioned (ghost) meter that you are still being charged for.
