Electricity Production Report
This documentation focuses on features specific to the Electricity Production Report. For information about standard reporting capabilities (like customisation, filtering, exporting, etc.), please refer to the General Reporting Guide.
The Electricity Production Report provides a detailed view of electricity flows at different levels, tracking consumption, production, grid imports, and exports. It helps organisations understand their electricity usage patterns and generation capabilities.
✅ Use Electricity Reports if you have solar data and want to understand:
-
Production from solar
-
Check solar performance
-
Compare imports vs exports from and to the grid
-
Validate that on‑site generation is behaving as expected
Key Metrics
All values are displayed in either kWh or Energy (GJ) based on your selection:
Consumption
-
Total electricity used
-
Calculation: Produced + Imported - Exported
Production
-
On-site generation amount
-
Typically from solar installations
Grid Interactions
-
Import: Electricity drawn from grid
-
Export: Excess sent to grid

This report only display electricity related data. Green-power has been excluded to avoid double counting with production and feed-in amounts.
Consumption Calculations
-
Standard Formula: Consumed = Produced + Imported - Exported
-
For sites with solar installations:
-
When production data is available → Standard Formula applies
-
When only feed-in data exists: Consumed = Imported
Note: While solar production data may be missing, emissions calculations remain accurate as solar generation has zero emissions
-
This approach ensures accurate consumption reporting even when complete production data is not available. However, it means we cannot show the split between on-site usage and grid export in these cases.
